Loneliness. It was quiet. Almost eerie. There was nobody.
Nobody. I was alone. On Christmas.
I sat closing my eyes slowly and not really feeling all that cheery on this holiday. As sad as it sounds, I was used to this kinda thing. People were busy with their friends and family. It was strange that Feliciano or Antonio hasn't shown up though. They usually gave me a visit, usually just a few moments to give me an unwanted hug and a gift and then they were off. But nobody was here.
Nobody. I was alone.
I sighed and glanced down at the few presents I was going to exchange with Antonio and Feliciano when they came. But they never would, and I knew this. I felt so abandoned. It was a sacred holiday for my religion when family and good friends would eat a feast and give presents to loved ones. It felt weird spending it alone. I laid back against
Her CatalystAs she walks through the maelstrom, the words trace upon the tips of her fingers and press into the stone. Every brick, every crack in the concrete, every crossed and angular stroke in reds and blacks and oranges. The drips of the gasoline pool around the base of her boots, slosh as she steps over the burst pipes and the rubble.
So much rubble. So little outcry. The silence of the city grates on her eardrums and the mantras she'd been forced to memorize. The Seers demanded they observe thirteen years of recitation before they attempt to weave their first World together.
But who other than the Seers can claim the incantations that knot the skeins they twist and pull on like reins hold fast? When have any of the Sisters recorded the visions they traced upon space-time and recited them, left them open for critique and discussion and debate?
